The DC cinematic universe hasn’t exactly run to plan. There have been hits – Wonder Woman went down very well, and made a hell of a lot of money. Aquaman could be fun, and the trailer for Shazam makes it look like Big with superheroes.
But Batman Vs Superman was a turgid mess, and Justice League went from a two-movie epic to a film where you can almost see the Sellotape holding it together.
And Suicide Squad? Urggghhhhhhh……
Anyway, speaking of things that have rumbled on for far too long, The Simpsons is about to start its thirtieth season (yes, that’s three-oh, thirty). The premiere episode is going to be about the family making a movie about their lives, and Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, will make a cameo auditioning for the part of Lisa.
A clip from the was shown on Entertainment Tonight and it includes a particularly savage line about the DC movies from Homer.
“Whenever I see the DC logo, I immediately fall asleep.”
