Stop teasing us, Marvel!
After what seems like a lifetime of guessing games and denials from Marvel producers, it looks as if merchandise may have finally confirmed that Tobey Maguire is in the upcoming Spider-Man instalment No Way Home.
Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) spoilers are usually shared in one of three ways, those being merch, stars ‘accidentally’ leaking details – or Mephisto, obviously.

This time it’s the merch’s turn – and it comes in the form of limited edition dog products sent out ahead of the release of the movie on December 15.
Sharing the news on Twitter, comic-book fan Dominic Kravitz shared images from his latest BarkBox subscription packaging. You can clearly see current Spidey Tom Holland’s suit but top right there is a peculiar detail that fans have picked up on.

A portion of the box seems to show a segment of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man across a backdrop of black and white.
“Tobey is in the corner…I think they may have messed up guys,” he said.
Fansite MCU Direct confirmed that the headshot is a shot of Spider-Man taken from the cover of the Daily Bugle from the original 2002 Spider-Man.
Lmaoooo how does @SonyPictures fuck up so bad???? That’s clearly Tobey in the background https://t.co/ky6KF47ZO3

MCU fans love their theories, hence why the Disney+ shows are almost always surrounded by outlandish ideas that usually include Marvel’s devil Mephisto.
“OKAY FIRST OF ALL, DAILY BUGLE IS NOT IN MCU, MEANING THAT THE DAILY BUGLE IS COMING FROM TOBEYS UNIVERSE TOO!!” shouted one excited Twitter user.

“They doing everything BUT confirming it,” another said.
Others were not on-board with the theory, with one person writing: “As much as I’m excited for this movie, this shit feels like a publicity stunt at this point lmao.”
Regardless of the truth, MCU fans are convinced that both Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be starring in the film. Though Tom Holland has not spilled the beans this time, only the movie’s release will confirm such ideas.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will release on December 15 2021.
