Even in Australia, winter is coming
Imagine if, to promote the final season of Game of Thrones, Sky Sports made Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher dress up as Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen?
Well, that is what has happened on Fox Footy, during the coverage of the AFL Aussie rules on Saturday.
Fans tuning into the Saturday Stretch analysis show were left somewhat confused.

Game of Thrones is shown on Fox Showcase channel, and on the Foxtel app, so this will be cross-promotion for season eight airing in that country.

In 2017, the Foxtel app reportedly crashed during the first episode of season seven – causing anguishing for Game of Thrones fans across Australia.
Earlier this week, the Australian Red Cross analysed every episode of the last seven seasons to find out who the worst war criminal on the show is.
As in, they literally weighed up each and every violation of the laws of war by the show’s characters – finding a staggering 103 separate war crimes in total.
According to the Red Cross, the laws “forbid acts like torture and inhuman treatment; protect hospitals, aid workers and cultural property; and limit weapons and tactics to avoid unnecessary suffering. Also known as international humanitarian (IHL) they’re laid out in the Geneva Conventions, which have been signed by every country on earth, and other international treaties. Red Cross has a legal mandate to promote and protect these laws.”
Ramsay Bolton came up top, having committed 17 war crimes, with Daenerys Targaryen and Roose Bolton coming second and third respectively.
