The full official trailer for Game of Thrones Season 8 is finally here

Wayne Farry

Well, that looks pretty fucking cool

We’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for this and finally it is here: the first proper trailer for Game of Thrones Season 8 has been released by HBO.

Here is pretty much everything that we’ve noticed from the trailer.

Coming in at just under two minutes long, the trailer starts with a monologue by a clearly terrified Arya Stark, before showing us Targaryen ships sailing with a man who appears to be Jaime Lannister onboard.

It then appears to show an army marching out of Winterfell with Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow following them from behind as Daenerys’ two remaining dragons – Rhaegal and Viserion – fly overhead.

We get a nice shot of Gendry, the son of Robert Baratheon, doing what he does best with a sword, ie. making one.

There’s a rather surprising shot of Cersei Lannister sipping on a glass of wine as tears well up in her eyes and brother Jaime in the middle of a bloody battle, before we see Daenerys’ dragons flying over what appears to be the area beyond what was previously known as The Wall.

Cut forward a few seconds and we see Rhaegal and Viserion looming over the corpses of what one would safely assume are White Walkers, while Dany and Jon run towards them.

There’s then a few more quick shots of key characters before we see a host of our favourites on the frontline and then, with a cold clop, the foot of a wight horse touch the snowy ground.

To be honest though, we’re still not doing it justice. So just watch it for goodness sake.
