Graham Norton fans were seriously impressed with Eddie Redmayne’s magic skills

Another thing Eddie Redmayne is better than us at

Eddie Redmayne is an annoyingly multi-talented chap.

The 34-year-old actor has had no lack of critical acclaim for his various big-screen roles – he was awarded pretty much a full house of awards for his performance as world-famous physicist Professor Stephen Hawking in 2014’s The Theory of Everything – and Hollywood can’t seem to find a job too big for him.

Cinematic prestige isn’t enough for Eddie, though; turns out he’s a pretty shit-hot magician as well.

Redmayne appeared on Friday night’s The Graham Norton Show to promote his new movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. He plays Newt Scamander in the Harry Potter spinoff, which is set in 1920’s New York City some 70 years before it all kicked off at Hogwarts.

In keeping with the magic theme, it was brought to the audience’s attention that as a child Redmayne had idolised magician Paul Daniels.

With this in mind, Graham decided to give him his big moment. Assisted by fellow guests Benedict Cumberbatch and Bryan Cranston, the wannabe wand-waver flawlessly executed some Daniels-esque tricks with a colouring book, and to be honest we were left scratching our heads as to how he pulled it off.

J.K. Rowling would definitely have approved.
