The world has lost another legend in Alan Rickman.
The actor, best known for films including Harry Potter, Die Hard, Truly Madly Deeply and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, has died at the age of 69.
In the same week as David Bowie’s passing at 69, the London-born star was also suffering from cancer and died surrounded by family.
It’s believed he had been dealing with his illness in secret and wanted to keep his medical problems a private matter.
Last year, Rickman married his life-long partner Rima Horton, who he met when he was 19 and she was 18 and whom he lived with in London for over 50 years.
He played some much-loved characters including Professor Snape, Hans Gruber in Die Hard and the Sheriff of Nottingham. AÂ truly great actor…
