“The revolution will be televised.”
On top of all the actually, tangibly terrible things about the pandemic, one of the unforeseen consequences that just compounded the misery has been waiting for-fucking-ever for new series of TV shows to be shot and made.
There was nothing anybody could do about that, of course, but it hasn’t exactly helped.
For me, the one show I was gutted to see delayed in its production of a new series was Succession, HBO’s comedic drama created by the genius behind Peep Show.
With its witty writing, impeccable acting and unparalleled storytelling, it’s right up there with the best shows on TV. If you haven’t seen it, go back and watch it on NOW, and then come back and watch this trailer, which might give away what happens at the end of Season 2.
This trailer, captioned “Are you part of this family or not?”, shows Kendall returning to Waystar RoyCo HQ, much to the dismay of his betrayed father.
Kendall can also be heard saying “the revolution will be televised,” as he seemingly tries once again to wrestle control of the family empire from his father.
Tom and Greg are still there, being awkward, accidentally bring hilarious, and generally being a nuisance to the core of the Roy family.

The quality of the show does not look like dipping any time soon, if this trailer is anything to go by.
As show in the above tweet, the show will return this autumn, which still feels too far away. But it’s something.
