Here’s how Netflix rank shows according to how binge-worthy they are

Laura Holland

You’d be forgiven for thinking House of Cards is the most binge-watched show on Netflix because it’s so hard not to watch a few episodes in a row.

But it turns out HoC is actually one of the shows that’s less binge-watched. The real winners are horrors and thrillers.

According to Mashable, Netflix has created a chart called ‘The Binge Scale’ that ranks shows on the basis that you would be more likely to ‘savour’ them over ones that you ‘devour’.

The scale is based on studies conducted by Netflix on the global viewing habits for more than 100 TV shows. They point out that it doesn’t reflect the amount of people actually watching the shows.

Here is the chart:

The shows we are more likely to ‘savour’ are House of Cards and Bloodline, while shows like Sense8Orphan Black, The 100, The Walking Dead and The Fall are shows we would ‘devour’.

Cindy Holland, the vice president of original content at Netflix, said:

“As The Binge Scale indicates, the viewing experience of a series can range from the emotional to the thought-provoking. Netflix helps you to find a series to binge no matter your mood or occasion, and the freedom to watch that series at your own pace – whether that’s to appreciate the drama of Bloodline or power through Orange is the New Black.”
