Honey G is barely recognisable in these childhood photos

She looks like a completely different person without the shades.

The Honey G story is concrete proof that *anything* is possible in life. Literally anything.

Yes, it’s the most baffling and bizarre story we’ve ever heard, but it’s restored our faith that dreams can come true.

If a middle-class, ballet-dancing, tennis prodigy from the Home Counties can grow up to be a rapper, then there’s hope for us all.

Love her or hate her, you’ve got to admire the bulletproof single-mindedness of the 35-year-old to don that tracksuit and sunglasses every week, go on national TV and rap. Takes balls, that.

But it’s precisely this image that makes it all-the-more strange seeing images of her as a relatively straight-laced kid growing up in suburbia.

A throwback picture of the X Factor star appeared on Good Morning with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Who knew that this angelic-looking kid would grow up to become a foul-mouthed ‘rap’ artist.

Honey G, whose real name is Anna Gilford, isn’t exactly from the ghetto, and grew up in Harrow in North West London.

The rapper, whose mum was a classical pianist and dad was a dentist, went to posh grammar school Dr Challoner’s in Buckinghamshire, where she was captain of her tennis team.

Honey G even got a 2:1 in Popular Music and Recording from the University of Salford after graduating in 2004.

While she was at university she ran her own club night in Manchester and apparently DJed around the UK, as well as Ayia Napa, according to GetWestLondon.

She was even a runner-up in a Ministry of Sound-sponsored National Student DJ comp, the site reports.

These days when she’s not bouncing up and down on the X Factor stage looking like yer da at his first rave, she runs her own recruitment firm.
