The case resumed on Monday
As the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard libel case continues in Virginia, the now-former Pirates of the Caribbean star has revealed that he believed his ex-wife was having an affair with James Franco during their relationship.
The trial now entering its third week, the 58-year-old actor responded to Heard’s lawyer’s suggestion that he believed she was engaged in an extra-marital romance with fellow actor Franco by simply saying, “Yes”.

Commenting on a “heated discussion” the actor supposedly had with Heard over the phone regarding scenes she had been filming with Franco, Depp initially said that while he didn’t remember the conversation, it was “highly likely” and did confirm his suspicions that he believed the two were having an affair.
Heard’s lawyer then goes on to discuss a plane journey where she believed Depp was inebriated and reportedly slept in the bathroom of the aircraft before becoming “quite ill” upon touching back down – the lattermost he didn’t claim to recall but did confirm he felt his then partner was being judgemental of his use of substances.
Franco, 44, who is himself still wrapped in a number of allegations, could even be deposed in the case along with Elon Musk, both having been rumoured to have had flings with Heard while she and Depp were still together.
As per numerous US outlets, the pair could both appear on the stand according to court documents which state they were subpoenaed on October 26, 2021, being ordered to provide information on any and all communication with Heard.
