‘That man is irredeemable’
Kanye West has had another MAGA-hat moment, this time courting controversy at his Paris Fashion Week show, in a stunt slammed as “disgusting, dangerous, and irresponsible”.
While showcasing season nine of Yeezy, the Donda Rapper, wore a long sleeve top with the words, White Lives Matter emblazoned across the back.
Ye’s shirt, which featured the Pope on the front, did not go down well.

The 45-year-old completed his controversial look with diamond-studded flip-flops.
Several runway models also wore shirts with the ‘White Lives Matter’ slogan written across the back, as well as controversial US commentator Candace Owens who was spotted at the event.
The White Lives Matter slogan has been championed by white supremacists and people wanting to challenge the legitimacy of the Black Lives Movement.

One social media user said: “Kanye West’s decision to wear a ‘White Lives Matter’ shirt is disgusting, dangerous, and irresponsible. Some of y’all will rush to defend him. You should ask yourselves why.”
A second added: “The reason why there is no need for Kanye West or anyone else to wear a white lives matter shirt is because never in the history of this country has the value that America puts on white lives ever been in question.”
“Sending a “WHITE LIVES MATTER” t-shirt down a runway in Paris is literal insanity and no amount of gospel is getting that man through Heaven’s gate, I’m so sorry,” one person tweeted.
Another wrote, “mind you kanye was just calling kim and kris the kkk 2 weeks ago and now he’s wearing a white lives matter shirt.”
A third said: “Kanye in the ‘white lives matter’ t-shirt with Candace Owens. That man is irredeemable.”

Others on social media brought up West’s trip to the White House wearing a pro-Trump MAGA hat.

The rapper also stirred controversy in 2013 when he wore a jacket adorned with the Confederate flag, which is widely seen as a symbol of oppression for African Americans.
Ye later posted a caption on his Instagram story, seemingly in defence of the stunt.
According to Page Six, Ye also spoke about about his recent split from Gap and Adidas saying: “I am Ye, and everyone here knows that I am the leader.
“You can’t manage me.” It is not clear if Kanye was making a political statement… but he sure as hell has made a fashion statement, that’s for sure.
Speaking to Vogue about his vision before the show, West said: “There’s just people. From the same planet. And sometimes, in high school, it feels like we don’t fit in. And in a situation like this, we have the opportunity to come together to express who we are.”
