Logan Paul has made his return to YouTube with a suicide prevention video.
The disgraced YouTuber faced harsh criticism after he uploaded a graphic vlog in which he travelled to a forest in Japan and filmed the body of a man who had died by suicide.
Paul’s video was removed from YouTube but was soon reuploaded by other users.
The vlogger issued an apology on his channel but had otherwise remained silent.
Paul returned to YouTube today to publish a video on suicide prevention entitled: ‘Suicide: Be Here Tomorrow.’
It depicts him travelling to New York to speak to members of the National Suicide Prevention Society and individuals who tried to take their own lives.
In the video, Paul said that he has “never been (as) humbled” in his life as he was making this video.
He said:
“I know I’ve made mistakes, I know I’ve let people down, but what happens when you’re given an opportunity to make a difference.
“It’s time to learn from the past as I get better and learn as a human being so those who are suffering can have easier ones.”
Paul said that part of the problem was his “ignorance” of the subject.
He also stated that even though he “can’t solve the problem” by himself, he wants to be part of the solution.
Paul has pledged to donate $1 million to various suicide prevention organisations with the first $250,000 going to the national suicide prevention lifeline.
