Every month, we always bring you the best new releases that arrive on the UK and Irish Netflix, but as you’ll know, the online streaming giant has a habit of releasing some new titles without much fanfare or prior notice. That’s the genius of their distribution platform.
We already gave you some of our recent picks and informed horror fans about the delightful duo of The Wailing and Under the Shadow, but there are some other excellent titles to choose from.

Mad Men
Plot: Set in 1960s New York City, this series takes a peek inside an ad agency during an era when the cutthroat business had a glamorous lure.
Watch it because: 5 Golden Globes and widely regarded as one of the greatest TV shows of the last decade. If you haven’t seen it yet, now’s the time to binge.
Tucker & Dale vs Evil
Plot: Loveable hillbillies Tucker and Dale are on vacation at their dilapidated mountain cabin when they are mistaken for murderers by a group of preppy college students
Watch it because: It’s one of the finest horror-comedies since Shaun of the Dead.
Rooney: The Man Behind the Goals
Plot: The Manchester united striker gave TV cameras unique access to his home and personal life for the first time in this sports documentary. You see a whole different side to a man who has lived his whole life in the public’s gaze.
Watch it because: If you missed the show when it originally aired on the BBC, it’s definitely worth checking out as you get a very good insight into the life of England’s record goalscorer. Here’s what people made of it at the time.
Springsteen & I
Plot: Mixing fan-shot video with performance clips, this heartfelt documentary demonstrates how important Bruce Springsteen has been to his fans worldwide.
Watch it because: If you love Bruce, this is essential.
The Real Ghostbusters
Plot: We all grew up with this cartoon that sees the world’s most beloved paranormal professionals tangle with the ghosts, ghouls and Slimer.
Watch it because: Fancy reliving your childhood?

13 Reasons Why
Plot: After a teenage girl’s perplexing suicide, a classmate receives a series of tapes that unravel the mystery of her tragic choice
Watch it because: The new original series was directed and produced by Tom McCarthy, the director of the Oscar-winning Spotlight, so this has serious pedigree.

Foo Fighters : Sonic Highways
Plot: Follow the iconic Foo Fighters as they record eight songs in eight American cities, crossing paths with musical greats who’ve made each town unique.
Watch it because: It’s a really interesting fly-on-the-wall approach to seeing how Dave Grohl and co make their music. Fans of the band will appreciate this.
The Killing$ of Tony Blair
Plot: This crowdfunded documentary reviews the career of former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair, portraying him as a man largely driven by self-gain.
Watch it because: As The Guardian said in their review “An entertaining ramble through well-publicised allegations and a slick run down the rap sheet for those who need a reminder of Tony’s avarice.” If you dislike Blair, this might give you even more fodder.
