Whisper it, but we think the new Top Gear is pretty good
The new series has faced a barrage of criticism since its Chris Evans fronted revamp, but to us Top Gear is just as entertaining as it ever was.
Following a shaky first episode, it appears traditional Top Gear fans seem to be getting on board with the new series as it finally hit its stride this past Sunday.
Best episode yet. It's getting better and better. This brings me much joy. Loads of content, too. #TopGear

It seems like third time was the charm for Top Gear as many viewers called its most recent episode “the best one yet”.

A new television show takes time to grow as writers tinker and tweak a formula to make it more popular with the masses, but it finally looks like the new Top Gear has found a winning combination.
The secret? Less Chris Evans apparently.
Honestly excluding Chris Evans #TopGear really was third time lucky

It seems that a reduction in Chris Evans’ airtime might be the key for new series of Top Gear. In our “winning” episode three, Evans, was swapped out for presenter Chris Harris and motoring journalist Rory Reid for different segments of the show.
#TopGear… with less Chris Evans, well done you listened 👍

To date, Chris Evans has been the most vocal of the new Top Gear presenters, repeatedly defending the show on social media. After Top Gear’s second episode viewers were asking Chris Evans to be replaced by Jenson Button or Tinie Tempah, saying Evans’ ‘shouty’ presenting style spoiled the show.
I'm totally in favour of Jenson Button replacing Chris Evans on Top Gear, genuinely likeable guy and phenomenal driver.

Could lowering Chris Evans screen be the final step in reviving new Top Gear? Or is it just fans unable to let go of the old, Clarkson led era? What do you think?
