They all lived happily ever after, or something to that effect.
Everyone lost it, for a few minutes anyway, on hearing the news that Love Actually was getting a sequel (even if it is just on TV).
Of course, that brought up a lot of questions including how did the love triangle involving Jules (Keira Knightley), Peter (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and Mark (Andrew Lincoln) pan out?
Judging by this tweet shared by the film’s scriptwriter, Emma Freud (who has been keeping us all up to speed with the filming of the sequel), all is well with Peter and Jules.

The scene where Mark turns up at the couple’s home and professes his love for Knightley’s character tends to divide viewers – some get really angry with him for being selfish and others think it’s romantic.
Whatever your viewpoint, it seems that Jules and Peter’s marriage was strong enough to withstand this blip and that’s a rather lovely outcome.
However, there might be a surprise in store as another sneak peek shared by Emma shows that Mark might just try to recreate THAT card scene.
We’ll have to wait until March 24th for the big reveal.
