Were you watching?
Eastenders viewers are always quite vocal on Twitter and tonight’s episode has garnered quite the reaction.
Denise Fox told Patrick Trueman how she was planning to put her baby up for adoption and that all the plans were in motion.
She explained that she hopes to further her career and rather than have a baby, she wants to give another family the chance to have the child they’ve been yearning for.
Denise, played by Diane Parish, said:
“Love isn’t enough, you have to want to be a mum. It’s hard enough when you’re taking it on for all the wrong reasons”.
Her words received quite the reaction and although most supported her decision, some people didn’t agree.
A lot of people tweeted about well the part was played:

Powerful themes in #eastenders this evening with Denise and her baby. Beautifully crafted, excellent acting. Thanks. @BBCOne

Denise is doing the right thing. Children with a mother who doesn’t really want them often have a poor childhood. #Eastenders @bbceastenders

Not everyone was impressed though:
I really don’t think a single #GCSE is going to have the life-changing effect Denise thinks it will. #eastenders

Denise crying on #EastEnders but had no tears?

Also, Denise you are not a very good crier. I saw not a single tear. The scene was cringe. #EastEnders ??
