In the aftermath of Netflix’s Making a Murderer docuseries, Wisconsin man Steven Avery has continued to maintain his innocence.
His case has gained worldwide notoriety since December, and he has amassed a following of supporters who believe that he was framed by the local county police.
For the first time since the series came out, Avery has made direct contact with those supporters, giving this handwritten note to his new lawyer, Kathleen Zellner. Zellner shared the message on her Twitter account.
