Ryan Reynolds is really pushing for a Deadpool/Logan film

We know what Deadpool 3 is going to be too

We know what Deadpool 3 is going to be too

“I know, right? Whose balls did I have to fondle to get my own movie? … I’m not going to name names, but it rhymes with Polverine.”

With that one remark, Ryan Reynolds set the tone for the superb Deadpool as the Merc with a Mouth smashed the “4th-wall break inside a 4th-wall break! That’s like, 16 walls!”

Ok, we know that Hugh Jackman has 1) said that he’s retired from playing Wolverine and, 2) Logan died at the end of James Mangold’s superb film, but hope springs eternal.

While promoting Deadpool 2, Reynolds said that “he’s alive (Logan) and well in my timeline.” Given the fact that Logan is set in the future, this would make sense and Reynolds adds that “there is a Logan running around out there with a little bushy chest and his little sharpy, sharpy claws, and he is alive and well and ready to go. I would love that.”

The pair did star together in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine – the less said about that film the better – but we could be seeing Wade Wilson meeting Logan?

“I’d love to see a Deadpool/Logan movie, that would be fun but Hugh Jackman is apparently retired (from the role) despite the fact I’ve been protesting..almost hourly,” he said.

With regards to Deadpool 3, Reynolds reckons that it’s more likely to deal with the X-Force than a standalone film. “It’s an odd thing to say but I don’t think there will be a Deadpool 3. I think going forward it will be an X-Force movie – which is his team. But the X-Force is much different than say the Avengers. X-Force is generally made up of a bunch of people that are very morally flexible. Their guys that do the work the X-Men wouldn’t, or couldn’t do. You’re dealing with a rag-tag bunch of people that don’t have the moral compass that the Avengers or X-Men do.”

Take a look.

Deadpool 2 lands on Tuesday 15 May.
