The music world has lost another talented guitarist in Glenn Frey.
Frey, 67, who was also a founding member of the American rock band, died in New York after battling against various intestinal issues.
The guitarist co-wrote a number of huge hits including ‘Hotel California’, ‘Desperado’, ‘Take It Easy’ and ‘Tequila Sunrise’.
According to reports, he had been suffering from illnesses including acute ulcerative colitis, pneumonia and rheumatoid arthritis, with the cause of death believed to be due to complications surrounding the health problems.
In a statement on the band’s website, his family and bandmates wrote: “Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us.”
