You can’t say I hold a grudge
Maybe it’s cathartic, maybe it gives me closure. But just like how there was a quiz round on Italy the week after the Euros final (click here for a depressing journey back in time to that week), I’ve decided to put in a round all about Newcastle just days after my beloved Aston Villa went to St James’ Park and put in their worst performance of the season.
The weekend always rides on the performance of your football/sports team. The nightmare is losing the early kickoff on a Saturday, that really sets the tone for the rest of the weekend. At least you’ve not got much time to wallow if you lose on Sunday afternoon.
Whether or not your weekend is dampened by a sporting result, you can always rely on the JOE Friday Pub Quiz to help you start it on the right foot. Unless you get a single-figure score, in which case maybe just sleep through until Monday.
