After two good movies, two alright movies and one very, very bad movie, Spider-Man is at long last returning to Marvel.
We’ve seen him pop up in Captain America: Civil War, we’ve had the teaser trailer, and now the full trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming is here at last, and boy, does it look good.
Already the trailer seems to have captured the thing that was missing from both the Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man movies: Spider-Man is a wise-cracking kid, not a gloomy emo manchild (Sorry, Spider-Man 3). It’s too early to say, but it looks like bringing Spider-Man back to Marvel Studios is already paying off.
Following in the footsteps of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, actor Tom Holland is stepping into the tight lycra of Spider-Man, with Michael Keaton playing the villain of the movie, Vulture.
The new Spider-Man movie will offer a different take on Spidey, focusing on a teenage Peter Parker with typical teenage problems, as well as the everyday issues any superhero has to deal with – like a flying bird man that shoots lasers and wants to kill your family.
And you thought you had growing pains.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released in UK cinemas July 7th 2017.
