Fans were genuinely worried about the presenter.
Ant McPartlin made his return to Saturday night television tonight on Saturday Night Takeaway but viewers were left concerned by the presenter’s tired appearance and behaviour.
It was Ant’s first appearance since he had split up from his wife Lisa Armstrong and entered rehab for addictions to prescription drugs and alcohol last year.
It’s a lot for anyone to go through so it was understandable that there were a few blips initially in the broadcast as he found his feet again alongside his long-term partner-in-crime Declan Donnelly.
Image credit ITVViewers couldn’t help but be concerned, however, as they commented that he looked slightly worse for wear and appeared to make a few errors, messing up his words as he read the teleprompter and looking slightly flushed throughout the show.
It seemed that most fans were just happy to have him back though, regardless.
