Spoilers ahead, ok?
Professor Severus Snape is arguably the most multi-layered and interesting character in the entire Harry Potter franchise. For most of the saga, Snape seems to be a irredeemable bad guy – yet Albus Dumbledore continually gives him his trust.
It’s only towards the end of the final volume, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, that we find out that Snape was actually close friends with Harry’s parents, and stood up to Voldermort when he murdered them. This late revelation puts the character in a whole new context.

Now fans have spotted something very interesting in the final Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, where he was brilliantly portray by the late Alan Rickman. It’s a tiny moment, but Potter-heads are think it says a lot about the character.
In this moment, in the battle with Professor McGonagall, Snape appears to deflect an energy blast, and aim it at a Death Eater – which if intentional, would obviously have been a great help to Harry and The Order in the fight. It looks like a noble act, from a usually ignoble character.
