The Glen Marnoch Spreyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky came away with a gold medal with judges saying that ” “In value for money terms, it was great. Complex and well made.” It beat Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve in the same category, which sells for double the price at £37.45
You can pick up a bottle of this bad boy for £17.49 at Aldi and it’s described by the store “A silky smooth whisky with rich toffee and vanilla notes. Enjoy flavours of distinctive oaky spice followed by a long and lingering sweet finish.”
If you’re looking for a cheaper option, Aldi’s Glen Marnoch Highland is priced at £15.49 and it also picked up an accolade, the silver medal.
Whiskey connoisseurs will be happy to know that this brand has been described as “A delicious blend from Scotland, this delightful whisky is created from a range of top quality whiskies from the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands.”
Last but not least, their £12.99 Highland Black 8-Year-Old Whisky picked up a silver medal at the awards – that’s one of the cheapest bottles to win a prize.
