The pizzeria is set to help those in need by donating free pizza over the next month

Popular pizza outlet Franco Manca has pledged to freely hand out 20,000 pizzas over the December period to homeless people.

The initiative will run from 1-14 December 2018, aiming to help the most vulnerable from Oxford to Brighton and London to Bristol.

The company has also asked for assistance from relevant charities, shelters, food banks and members of the public to reach out and arrange an order of pizzas to aid those requiring extra support in the build up to Christmas.

On Christmas day, a select number of pizzerias will open to provide free collection services to those who can’t enjoy a festive dinner in comfort, including emergency service workers

The service will also be available to others hard at work on 25 December – such as emergency service workers.

Speaking about the importance of initiatives such as this one, Franco Manca spokesperson, Sandro Spahiu, said: “Charity initiatives such as this one have always been incredibly important to us here at Franco Manca.

“We always strive to do our bit to give something back, and are so grateful to our wonderful employees across the UK who are always willing to pitch in to make sure as many people in need are helped. Without them, none of this would be possible.”
