Morrisons are selling frozen Aunt Bessie’s Yorkshire pudding wraps

Finally, you can make them at home

The oldest known reference to a Yorkshire pudding dates all the way back to 1747, and for centuries they didn’t really evolve. They were a baked pudding that you had with a roast dinner, and they were wonderful.

In recent years, however, there has been an advancement in Yorkshire pudding technology: the Yorkshire pudding wrap.

Instead of just being limited to a Sunday lunch, the humble pud has taken influence from the Mexican corn tortilla or flatbread, and been used to wrap around various other foodstuffs.

And now, you can make them at home. Everyone’s favourite fictional frozen food relative Aunt Bessie’s is now doing frozen Yorkshire pudding wraps.

Offically dubbed ‘Yorkshire bases’, the packaging says they are “great for pizzas & wraps”. Not too sure how we feel about Yorkshire pudding pizzas, but whatever.

They are for sale at Morrisons at the moment, at £1.50 for two.

Or if you are too lazy to cook them yourself, Morrisons also just launched ready to eat wraps.
