It’s as a thank you for their hard work this year
McDonald’s has announced that it will be giving NHS workers 20 percent off its entire menu to say thanks for their work throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
The discount will be made to mark the lifting of all remaining coronavirus restrictions on July 19, and will be in place for the rest of the year.
To make the most of the discount, NHS staff will need to use the My McDonald’s app, with the promotion only applying to walk-in customers.
Users will need to sign up for the app using an NHS email address, giving them access to the discount which can be used once a week.
And if you work for the NHS and like spicy food? Well you’re in luck.
The fast food chain is launching the McSpicy, which it says is its hottest burger ever. It even comes with a free bottle of milk to help cool your taste buds.
The chicken burger will cost £5.49, and the chain will give away a free Happy Meal Milk with all McSpicy purchases via the My McDonald’s App.
In celebration of the burger’s launch, McDonald’s lit up restaurants in the two locations of the UK with the highest and lowest tolerance to spice after polling over 5,000 UK adults on their attitudes to all things heat.
It turns out that the place that likes spicy food the most is Wolverhampton, whereas Norwich seems to be a bit more of a korma city.
To celebrate the NEW McSpicy, we’ve asking the nation if they can handle the heat 🌡️
And the results say they like it HOT in Wolverhampton while Norwich just can’t hack it… Are you surprised? 👇 pic.twitter.com/bp7YF8pstm
