Manchester pub goers have found a pint that costs £15

Would you shell out for a pint of this?

This just might be the most expensive pint in the UK….

Pub prices are constantly fluctuating in the UK. Where once you might be able to get a decent round for under a tenner, now regular pub goers are thankful to find a pint for £4. Especially in London.

This weekend saw the discovery of what might be one of the most expensive pints in the UK.

Found in The Bar in Chorlton, Manchester, a pint of “The Unhuman Cannonball” pale ale will set you back £15, or £7.50 for a half.

Discovered by local Labour Councillor John Hacking, he called the tipple a drink “For those of you with too much money.”

What makes The Unhuman Cannonball so pricey? It’s rather robust ABV. Boasting an eye watering 12%, The Unhuman Cannonball may cost a pretty penny per pint, but we doubt you’ll need more than one to get you where you need to be on a night out.

Think of it as a luxury pint, similar to a bottle of wine. Magic Rock Brewing, who produce the beer, describe it as “a Triple India Pale Ale, with a very pale and simple Golden Promise malt body designed to let the hops shine”.

Further elaborating in the tasting notes, the hefty beer “takes IPA to another dimension balancing massive citric aroma, deep tropical fruit flavor and gravity defying drinkability to deliver a hop experience that is out of this world.”

Sounds like something for the beer expert, someone who could get a high score on beers of the world quiz here.

Let us know if you would pay £15 for a pint of The Unhuman Cannonball. We’re off to save a few pennies, because this has us curious enough for a payday pint.
