It is Kojima’s first game since leaving Konami in 2015
Kojima Studios’ Death Stranding will arrive on consoles on November 8 2019, it was confirmed this week.
The genius behind the hugely popular and medium-changing Metal Gear Solid series, Kojima left Japanese developer Konami in 2015 after the relationship between the two parties deteriorated to the point that Konami barred him from attending that year’s Game Awards.
His first game since leaving Konami, Death Stranding  stars Norman Reedus, Guillermo Del Toro, Mads Mikkelsen, Lindsay Wagner, Léa Seydoux, and Emily O’Brien.
Reedus, who is best known for starring in The Walking Dead, is the protagonist of the game, and the latest trailer shows him walking around a barren landscape, as well as sneaking through forests in an attempt to evade those chasing him.
Like earlier trailers, it also shows him carrying a baby in a tube filled with liquid which enables him to travel through time and see apparitions. Yeah, it looks nuts.
Unsurprisingly for a game made by Kojima, it looks absolutely beautiful, with stunning locations and detailed character models of some of the biggest names in acting.
The game will hit shelves and digital stores on November 8.
