That’s close to three weeks vacation by using less than half of the days you’re legally entitled to
The Christmas break might have only just finished, but anyone who’s been back at work for more than a couple of hours will likely be looking forward to some more well-earned downtime as soon as possible.
Sadly, though, nobody gets quite as much annual leave as they’d like, meaning we have to pick and choose when to take a rest from the 9-5.
But there’s at least some good news for anybody looking to give themselves as long a holiday as possible in 2019 without breaking the annual leave allowance bank, as a trick this year means you can book off 18 days in a row using only just nine of your holiday days.
That’s right, you’ll get close to three weeks vacation by using less than half of the days you’re legally entitled to. All you have to do is earmark the days between Friday 19 April and Monday 6 May 2019 as ones you want off.
The first Friday is Good Friday and the following Monday is Easter Monday, which means that you should get those off as Bank Holidays anyway. Then 6 May is the first May bank holiday too.
With April 20, 21, 27, and 28 being weekend days, as well as May 4 and 5, it will total out as a whole 18 days off in a row. In fact, the period you’ll need to book off will only be April 23 to 26, April 29 and 30, and May 1 to May 3.
Did someone say holiday?
