The watch that gave rise to hundreds of terrible jokes on Twitter will finally be delivered to customers on Friday.
The hotly-anticipated Apple Watch was available for pre-order on April 10 but sold out within hours, leaving many disappointed fans waiting for a new batch to be manufactured.
According to The Telegraph, a number of fashion boutiques in London, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Berlin, Milan, and Paris will stock the watch from Friday, but the chances of getting your hands (or wrists) on one are incredibly slim.
Prices range from £299 for the Apple Watch Sport to limited editions embellished with 18-karat gold that will set you back between £8,000 and £13,500 – almost as much as a MayPac ticket.
“We’re happy to be updating many customers today with the news that their Apple Watch will arrive sooner than expected,” an Apple spokeswoman told BuzzFeed.
“Our team is working to fill orders as quickly as possible based on the available supply and the order in which they were received. We know many customers are still facing long lead times and we appreciate their patience.”
