There’s been a lot of doom and gloom around McDonald’s of late.
Reports of US franchises claiming kitchens were in chaos and the all-day breakfast menu flopping were all over the internet.
People over here in Britain were equally dismayed to hear that the Smarties McFlurry had been killed off…and they let McDonald’s know about it.
But you can never count out old Ronald McDonald…he’e off the ropes and he’s coming out swinging.
Swinging with some brand new sweet potato fries, that is.
A McDonald’s spokesman told Eater: “Sweet potato fries are being tested in some Create Your Taste test restaurants in Amarillo, and we’re gathering valuable customer feedback on them.”
We love the classic McDonald’s French Fries, but we’re equally intrigued to taste these which are currently being trialled in Texas.
