It can be difficult to stand out in today’s competitive marketplace.
For all that we say we want originality, we can often be too hard on anyone trying something new, leaving people feeling like d*cks for even making an attempt.
That seems to be the case in Cardiff, as a recently erected food truck has been accused of purposely creating a rather phallic logo just to get a rise out of the locals.
The company, called Dirty Bird, boasts a logo feature a lowercase D and a lowercase B coming together to form a cockerel in an attempt to alert potential customers to the fried chicken on sale.
Of course, naturally there are those among us with filthy minds who look at an innocent picture of a chicken and see something filthy…
When asked will he change it, Dirty Bird owner Neil Young defended the controversial logo to Vice News, saying: “We’ve never really thought about it like that. Our designer created a D and B for ‘dirty bird’, then pushed them together to make a cockerel.”
So far they have not announced any plans to update the logo, but if protests continue then they may be forced to offer a boneless option.
