The Royal Mint has released the designs for new British coins in 2016, which include a very rock ‘n’ roll £2.
The new coins will share stories of British history over the past 1,000 years, with images of the Great Fire of London, Battle of Hastings, and Beatrix Potter’s tales among those commissioned.
It’s the £2 coin that has caught our eye the most, though, with its skull and rose design paying homage to William Shakespeare (and Hamlet) 400 years after his death.
