A cautionary tale
It says a lot about our relationship with smartphones that most of us don’t like them to be out of arm’s reach, even when we’re asleep.
But it turns out, keeping your phone beneath your pillow at night can have very dire consequences.
The New York Police Department shared a picture on Twitter yesterday, highlighting the dangers of what can happen if you sleep with your phone beneath your pillow.

Clearly there’s an issue with batteries overheating and immediately coming into contact with super-flammable pillows… So unless you want to wake up with your hair very singed or worse, it might be best to leave your phone on the bedside locker.
