His police mugshot earned him a new post-prison career as a model, but poor Jeremy Meeks can’t seem to leave his old life of crime behind.
The criminally handsome 33-year-old was stopped at Heathrow Airport yesterday, having landed in London from LA for a party to celebrate his cover shoot for the latest issue of Man About Town magazine.
A convicted felon, Meeks served time in prison for possession of a firearm and gang related offences.
While he’s done his time, serving two years in a California prison, British cops seemed unwilling to let bygones be bygones and placed the father-of-one back on a flight to New York.
His manager Jim Jordan, who is still in London with Meeks’ wife, told DM:
‘They wouldn’t let him come into the country. He is really upset. He was police-escorted onto the plane.’
Mr Jordan claims Meeks, who recently walked the runway at New York Fashion Week for Philipp Plein, had all the necessary papers as well as a letter from his parole officer.
Video filmed by Meeks showed the model was none too pleased with the situation: “‘I’m sick of this s***. I’ve been denied. London don’t want me here having served my time. S*** is crazy.”
