Covering letters and CVs can sometimes read like a foreign language.

Many of us are guilty of using terms to describe us which we’d never use in general conversation.

Professional networking site LinkedIn have released a list of the ten most commonly over-used “buzzwords” used by subscribers, which can sometimes do more harm than good.

Using these terms won’t necessarily put off an employer from hiring you but originality is an appealing trait, so avoiding over-emphasis on the following terms is  a sensible approach.
