Stories of abandoned puppies that have happy endings are just what we need on a Monday.
A seven-week-old pup was found abandoned and crying in the car park at Grayson baseball stadium in Savannah, Georgia earlier in the week.
She had no tag, no collar, and no chip.
The baseball team that play there are called the Savannah Bananas (A+ name), and the president of the team, Jared Orton, decided to adopt her, along with his wife Kelsey.
They’ve decided to name her Daisy.

He told the team’s website:
“It was just meant to be that we’d have a team dog as part of our staff. We took Daisy to the vet and aside from being hungry and dehydrated, she was in pretty good health.”
Daisy now comes into the team office every day to help ship out Bananas merchandise and greet visitors dropping by.
Orton added:
“We aren’t sure how big she’ll get, so it’s hard to say if she’ll be able to pick up a bat or just coach first base,” Orton told the team’s website, “but as she grows, she’ll be a fixture at the ballpark.”
(Here’s Orton with Daisy. Look how tiny she is).
