A shot – or three – a day will keep the ailments at bay.
That’s certainly the case for Agnes Fenton, who made it to the ripe age of 105 by drinking three beers and a shot of Johnnie Walker every day.
Okay, so Ms Fenton was advised to give up the booze to help her make it to 110 and on to the list of super centenarians, a milestone she celebrated at her care-home at Englewood, New Jersey.
She told NorthJersey.com: “When I was 100 years old, I went to the mirror to thank God that I was still here. And I thank him every morning”.

Her routine for 70 years was drink three Miller High Lifes and a shot of Johnnie Walker Blue Label scotch every day. Hero.
Her carers say her favourite foods are chicken wings, green beans and sweet potatoes, but her food intake is so small, they don’t want her touching the hard stuff.
Ms Fenton put her longevity down to her faith. She said: “He gave me a long life and a good life, and I have nothing to complain about. You’ve got to have God in your life. Without God, you’ve got nothing.”
Amen, now pour us a drink…
