The singer has a heart of gold
Taylor Swift donated $15,500 to 19-year-old fan Sadie this past weekend, whose mother for the past three years has been in a coma.
The 28-year-old pop star didn’t hesitate to help Sadie after reading about her situation on Twitter.
Sadie begins by saying, “Hey guys. I’m really nervous to post this. Please help if you can and pray for my family. I’m sorry I never said anything sooner and that I’m suddenly asking for help. I love you guys so much.”
Then in a note attached to the tweet, Sadie explains her heartbreaking predicament in detail:
“My Mom has been in a coma for three years now. She had an ulcer that bled out that led to lack of oxygen to the brain which resulted in brain damage. We take care of her at home full time, my dad is unable to work because he has to always be with my mom.
“My older brother and I have to provide for our family, my family is in trouble.”

Taylor Swift’s $15,500 donation was made via the family’s GoFundMe page, which so far has raised $26,000 of the $40,000 target, and was signed, “Love, Taylor, Meredith and Olivia Swift.”
