Edward Snowden has been nailing Twitter since he joined the social network.
In case you’ve forgotten, Snowden is the fugitive who exposed the mass-surveillance practices at the National Security Agency.
He still faces criminal charges in the US from his revelations about government and lives in Russia where Vladimir Putin’s government has granted him asylum.
Here are 5 things he’s done on the social media so far…
– The only account he follows is the NSA,
– His Twitter bio reads, ‘I used to work for the government. Now I work for the public. Director @FreedomofPress,
– Within hours of joining, he amassed more followers on the social network than the NSA,
– His attorney, Ben Wizner of the American Civil Liberties Union, confirmed Snowden controls the account himself,
– So intent on making an impact, he doesn’t even follow his girlfriend Lindsay Mills, who posts the occasional picture of Snowden…
