One of the victims, Dolet Hill, was a former NHS worker
The four people stabbed to death at a house in southeast London on Monday have been named by police.
Met Police on Tuesday named the victims as 58-year-old Denton Burke and his partner Dolet Hill, 64, who lived together at the house in Delaford Road, Southwark, where the incident took place; Tanysha Ofori-Afukko, 45, also known as Rachquel, who is Hill’s daughter, and Samantha Drummonds, 27, who is Ofori-Afukko’s daughter and lived in Lewisham.
According to reports, Drummonds had told a neighbour she was returning to the family home in Bermondsey for a week while she had some work done to her flat about five miles away in Forest Hill.
All four were pronounced dead at the scene on Delaford Road. A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of killing the four family members and is being held under arrest in hospital, police have said.
Officers were called to the area around 1.40am to reports of a disturbance at a residential address and forced entry.
Inside, according to a statement from the Met, officers found four people “suffering what are believed to be stab injuries”.
It is thought all five people were known to each other.
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command also made a renewed appeal for information surrounding the deaths on Tuesday.
