Starr was found dead by his carer at his apartment in Spain
Freddie Starr has died at the age of 76.
A report from the Mirror says the comedian died in his apartment on the Costa Del Sol in Spain.
A neighbour, who asked not to be named, told the newspaper: “His carer found him dead in his chair at around 3.30pm.
“Police arrived first and then later an ambulance arrived and he was taken away.
“His next door neighbour who is a nurse said he was definitely dead. She said she thinks he may have suffered a heart attack.”
Starr – an impressionist, singer and actor – rose to fame after appearing on Opportunity Knocks in the 1970s.
Nine years ago he underwent quadruple bypass surgery following a heart attack. He went on to appear on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! the following year.
