Get out your winter coat, snow is on the way!
While November temperatures have remained largely in the double-digits, the mercury is set to take a tumble with forecasters predicting a big freeze is on its way.
While parts of the country have experiences showers, floods, and gales, temperatures haven’t been too chilly, and even reached an unreasonable high of 17C in Flintshire, North Wales, on Monday.
While more wind and rain are expected in the coming days, thanks to Tropical Storm Wanda, the Met Office has warned freezing temperatures and snowfall are due Sunday.
And bookies have even slashed the odds on this being the coldest November ever, from 3-1 to just 5-4, the Mirror reported.
By next Wednesday, there is a high possibility of snow in Scotland and then over the following day, it is likely to hit the North East of England.
The risk then moves to the eastern side of the UK. Weather maps suggest, from November 20, most of the UK will have a high chance of snow, the Mirror reported.
The worst affected will be Scotland, northern England, and the Midlands with temperatures expected to nosedive to as low -6C and -1C in southern England on November 18.

By Sunday week, November 21, temperatures are expected to drop to -3C in southern England and -11C in northern Scotland.
“We are headed for a big November freeze,” Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead is quoted as saying in the Mirror.
“It’s left us with no choice but to significantly slash the odds on this month entering the record books as the coldest eleventh month of the year the UK has ever seen.”
The Met Office said that there is likely to be a drop in temperatures at the start of next week and then again at the end of the month.
“A rather cold start to the period will likely be followed by a brief recovery in temperatures, before a further likely trend down later on in the month. Later on, in the month there will also be an increasing chance of some wintry conditions, mainly over the higher ground in the north, but with a slight risk to lower levels.”
