Sure this won’t p*** anyone off at all
As we edge ever closer to Christmas Day, Boris Johnson has invoked Jesus Christ as inspiration for why people should get booster jabs as they look to mix with family households once again.
In the official Christmas message from No. 10 Downing Street, the Prime Minister spoke about Christmas roasts, the washing up after, those spending Christmas alone this year, and “being good neighbours” to one another, saying the jab is the best gift you can give your family and friends this year.

The PM admits that while we are not through Covid – with a record 100,000 cases – he hopes “that this Christmas is and will be significantly better than the last”.
He went on to reiterate the logic we have heard since the pandemic began: “getting jabbed not just for themselves, for ourselves, but for friends and family and everyone we meet”.
He then goes on to say that we should all enjoy the holidays “more keenly” this year “because of what we had to miss last year”.
After removing his foot firmly from his mouth, he goes to discuss the “invisible and invaluable present” i.e. the vaccine and booster jab, before praising the UK’s “neighbourliness” and adding, “that, after all, is the teaching of Jesus Christ, whose birth is at the heart of this enormous festival – that we should love our neighbours as we love ourselves.” Who’s going to tell him?…
In all seriousness, there is a very blatant disregard for the elephant in the room here and it seems unlikely that any of the Tory party are going to hold their hands up and confess that the reported 13+ parties took place last Christmas.
However, using the booster jab to effectively condescend to lecture the general public on how to take care of their neighbours so soon after the umpteenth scandal enraged and broke hearts across the nation is a bit rich even for Boris.
