The 82-year-old grandmother who married a man 46 years her junior has insisted she isn’t being conned while revealing intimate details about her relationship.

Iris Jones hit headlines last year and again last month when she revealed intimate details about her relationship with 36-year-old toyboy, Mohamed Ibriham. Appearing on This Morning on multiple occasions, Jones let presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield peek behind the rather questionable curtain.

Speaking out once again on their first wedding anniversary, Jones says she is heartbroken to have spent so much time apart from her husband who is currently awaiting a UK visa, reports the Sun.

She believes that they should find out more from the Home Office in November.

“The heartache is unbelievable. All we are talking about now is what will happen when we meet,” she said.

“My solicitor says I have to be positive. I am just hoping it will be good news. I miss Mohamed so much, I just want him with me in the UK.

“If he didn’t get a visa it would feel like the end of the world. It’s like he’s dead but he’s not dead — just missing.”

A resident of Weston-Super-Mare in Somerset, Jones says that the Home Office only cares about evidence of their relationship.

“They want proof he has somewhere to stay too and that’s fine, I own my own bungalow.”

The Home Office is allegedly interested in Ibriham having a good grasp of the English language, to which Jones confirms he has passed the required English test.

“They also care about finances. Apparently, you have to have £64,000 of finances for someone to come over from the Far East on a spousal visa. I don’t have this but it might be a bit different because I am a pensioner,” she added.

Jones believes her Egyptian partner would be “great for the economy”, adding: “He could work at Hinkley Point power station — he’s a trained engineer.”
