A man lost his life after being stabbed on Islington Upper Street on Monday.

Marcel Campbell, 30, died from the injuries sustained during the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene, which occurred during broad daylight. He became the 67th person to be murdered in the capital this year, and the 42nd victim of a fatal stabbing.

The Metropolitan Police said Reece Daniel Williams was charged with murder on Saturday. Williams, from Islington, is 21 years old.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Haringey Magistrates’ Court on 28 May.

Police have continued to appeal for witnesses.
