‘I don’t know how I’m still alive. I’m still trying to make sense of it all’
A video has emerged showing the incredible moment a commuter fainted and fell under a moving train in front of shocked onlookers – and lived to tell the tale.
The commuter, who has been identified only as Candela, has since told how she doesn’t “know how I’m alive” after the incident at Independence Station in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The heart-stopping footage was captured on CCTV and shows Candela losing her balance on the platform before falling forward into the passing train. She then falls between two carriages, disappearing from sight.
The scene shocked onlookers who suspected the worst.

But, Candela was miraculously rescued alive from the tracks after the train stopped.
As commuters crowded around, she is said to have sat, and then lay down, on the platform, before being taken away in a wheelchair to an ambulance.
Candela has only just seen the footage of the incident after being discharged from Buenos Aires Hospital this week.
She told an Argentinian TV station: “I suffered a sudden drop in blood pressure and fainted.
“I tried to warn the person in front of me but don’t remember anything else, even the moment I smashed into the train.
“I don’t know how I’m still alive. I’m still trying to make sense of it all.”
A witness to the incident is reported as saying: “This girl has been reborn. It’s a miracle. “We were waiting for the train and suddenly she fell onto the track. Amazingly it was just a scare.”
