If you’re already worried that Snapchat is too distracting, things aren’t going to change any time soon…
The app’s latest update allows you to add new friends by sharing a personalised URL with them – which solves one of Snapchat’s biggest problems but also means you’ll have more contacts to procrastinate with.
Snapchat users will know how frustrating it can be to add new contacts – especially if they’re not stored on your phone – but it seems that the days of sending on your Snapcode or searching for a person’s username are over.
You can now add new friends by sharing your URL from the “Add Friends” menu by selecting the new “share username” option. There’s also an “add nearby” feature that allows you add new mates via bluetooth.
