Woman filmed ‘punching and kicking horse’ is ‘mum and primary school teacher’

Danny Jones

What a shining example for our nation’s youth

The woman who was filmed punching and kicking a horse has reportedly been identified as a primary school teacher.

As reported by multiple outlets, the woman in question is believed to be Sarah Moulds, 37, from Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire. She is currently being investigated by the RSPCA for animal abuse against the poor horse.

As shocking as the footage is, what’s even more concerning is that not only is she a teacher at Somerby Primary School, she is also apparently a director of the Knossington & Somerby Pre-School.

Her membership to the Cottesmore Hunt – the branch of the UK’s Pony Club that she was thought to have been pictured with – has also been confirmed. She was also said to be a team leader on the Rutland-based foxhound group but has since been removed from their Facebook page – the account itself has seemingly been disabled.

Though her identity has yet to be fully confirmed, people online are understandably shocked and angered to learn that if proved to be the guilty party, the same person flagrantly abusing a horse is in charge of educating young children.

Moreover, to make matters worse, Moulds is also listed as having other secondary roles within her educator role, one of the most notable being ‘Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead’.
